
Senior director, education and development
Randy Dorsten brings more than 15 years of education, training, instructional design, and consulting experience, including a concentration in health care IT, to his current role as senior director of education and development for Ingenix. Randy’s focus includes managing large-scale learning projects and teams, and applying adult learning methodologies to improve retention of information. He holds an MBA and is a past board member of the American Society of Training and Development.
Director of education and training, payer market
Helping create confidence in her staff and students so they can be successful drives Wendy Egbert in her role with Ingenix Learning and Development Services. Wendy manages the training staff that delivers all variety of courses to the payer market. Prior to her current role, Wendy worked for 17 years in health care and held positions in claims processing, course design, and training for Aetna Insurance and GeoAccess.
Manager, facilities product education
With more than 25 years experience, Michael Evans brings to his role expertise in numerous areas of health information management. Prior to joining Ingenix, he consulted with hospitals around the country on quality assurance and data process improvements, and managed the successful redesign of the medical records process at a Florida teaching hospital. Michael holds a master’s degree in health occupations administration and education, and has served on several state and national industry associations.
Focus areas: ICD-9-CM and CPT4/HCPCS coding and education for hospitals and physician offices, and the development and implementation of clinical documentation management programs.
Senior manager, instructional design and LMS administration
With a master’s degree in human resources development and more than 12 years of training experience, Cynthia Farrell leads instructional design for Ingenix. Her expertise includes analyzing client needs, developing engaging courses, and ensuring Ingenix’s offerings maximize retention and return-on-investment for clients. Prior to Ingenix, Cynthia managed learning solution development, design and delivery teams, including offshore resources, across a wide variety of industries.
Training manager
Dodie Loveless, a certified total trainer and certified procedural coder, has more than 26 years of health care experience with payers, including more than 16 years as a trainer. Her background spans customer service, claims processing and auditing, member services, provider relations, compliance, and health care technology in both the health care and property / casualty sectors. She enjoys helping clients understand new concepts and learn to work more efficiently.
Instructional designer
An experienced training and instructional design professional, Paula Allen helps Ingenix craft the ideal educational experience for its clients, whether it’s instructor-led, self-paced, or blended learning solutions. With a Lean Six Sigma Green Belt and more than 10 years experience in training and development, Paula excels at managing projects and finding efficiencies for her clients. Prior to joining Ingenix, Paula held instructional design and project management responsibilities across the health care, financial services, chemical manufacturing and technology sectors.
Instructional designer
With a master’s degree in adult education and more than ten years experience as a training and instructional design professional, Dawn M. Dickinson helps many Ingenix clients improve their proficiency and product expertise. Her expertise includes instructional design, facilitation of learning, and project management, with a specialization in assessment and evaluation. Prior to Ingenix, Dawn worked in the high tech, financial services and hospitality industries.
Training documentation specialist
With more than a decade of experience in writing, editing, and communications, Michele Garwood excels at creating strong and engaging training materials. Her work spans many sectors, including health care and human capital, and includes experience facilitating classroom and virtual training, and designing both instructor-led and self-paced curriculums. She holds a master’s degree in management and leadership.
Manager, LMS administration
Justin Readhead combines more than a decade of learning development experience with extensive oversight of learning management systems. His expertise – including work managing education delivery teams, directing implementation projects, and guiding process improvement initiatives – helps organizations to maximize their investment in development activities through the use of technologies. Justin’s experience spans many industries, including health care, financial services and government.
